The Manchester United Youth Supporters Club (MUYSC) was founded in September 2023- but in truth, the idea had been growing a long time before we even realised. 

It began with a feeling. A growing sense among young fans, that something was missing. That the experience our parents and older generations talked about with such warmth- the spontaneous friendships, the affordable tickets, the sense of belonging in the terraces- was slipping away and had been for some time. 

For many of us, supporting United isn’t just a hobby- it’s a lifestyle; a religion. It’s where we find our identity, our joy, our escape. But the old dream younger fans lived through changed as football modernised. All seater stadiums came in. Ticket prices rose. And the space for young supporters began to shrink.

So we came together. A small group of young Reds with a shared belief: we shouldn’t have to watch the club we love from a distance. We deserve to be part of it- properly, and create our own memories just as the generations before us . In the pubs, in the stands, in the memories being made week by week.

From that belief, the official Manchester United Youth Supporters Club was born.

We set out not just to create a fan group- but to build a movement. One rooted in tradition, driven by passion, and most importantly: shaped by youth. We wanted to bring back the culture of matchday meetups, of being stood side by side with your mates, away-day memories, lifelong friendships formed celebrating a goal, and making match tickets both affordable and accessible. 

Within just a few months, we did more than we ever thought possible. We hosted events. We connected thousands of young fans. We got seats at affordable prices for youth in the Stretford End. Some of our members met legends. Others played on the Old Trafford pitch. Some even found work experience, and new confidence through what MUYSC had to offer.

But most of all, we gave young fans a home. A space where they could feel seen, valued, and part of something bigger than themselves.

MUYSC is for those who believe in what it means to support United, not just watch them. It’s also for the fans around the world who may never have stood in the Stretford End, but feel every kick as if they were there.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come- but we know the real journey is just beginning. The fight for youth voices in football is just beginning. The future of support depends on us keeping the flame alight. 

This is our story. The torch has been passed down to us. It’s up to us, as the future of our great club- to keep the red flag flying high.
