Our Team

MUYSC is built entirely by volunteers. We’re fans giving our time, money, and effort- not for profit, but for each other. Everything we do is done for the love of the club, the community, and the culture that made us fall in love with Manchester United in the first place.

Luca black, 19

Founder and Chair-

I have been watching United since before I can remember. My first game at the age of 2, was when Macheda scored that late winner against Aston Villa. I’ve had a season ticket for over 10 years and have been going home and away since the age of 12. I oversee all of MUYSC’s operations, organise the committee, complete a lot of the admin work, help come up with ideas and strategy, and drive the team forward. I do what I do for my love of the club, and so despite the modernisation of football and cancers within our club, we can keep the red flag flying higher for generations to come.

MUYSC is also a democratic organisation. Each summer there is an application phase, and voting phase for Chair and Deputy Chair of MUYSC. The rest of the roles are chosen by the Chair and Deputy Chair to have continuity as to not disrupt MUYSC operations.

Founder and Deputy Chair-

Hi I’m Ben, I’ve supported United since I could breathe. I go every week to watch us and have a strong passion for the club. I am part of the supporters club to help improve the experience for both our young match going fans, and young fans across the world.

Ben lyons, 23

Committee Member-

From Charlton, I have been going to United for as long as I can remember. My first game was when I was 4, and ever since, I’ve had a season ticket in tier 2 of the Stretford End with my dad and brother. I go to as many aways as possible, and while I fell in love with the club because of my dad- it was also because of the atmosphere and players we had. I am deeply passionate about our club, and want the very best for our current and future young fans. That’s why I joined MUYSC.

Callum Murphy, 24

Committee Member-

Living in Dublin, I’m a season ticket holder in J stand. I love traveling to the matches, and get over for home and away games. I’m the oldest on the committee and wanted to see the impact I could make with my time in MUYSC.

Charlie Parry, 18

Committee Member-

Hi, I’m 18 from Urmston, and have had my east stand season ticket since 2012. I’ve been involved with MUYSC for the last couple of years and have lots of great memories from it, including winning the first 5-a-side tournament we did.

Arun watts, 18

Committee Member-

I’m Arun, 18, from Chorlton. I’m a season ticket holder in the Stretford End and got involved with MUYSC to help give young fans a proper voice and be part of the club in a different way.

LEO ZMAJSHEK, 21

Head of International Growth-

I learned the words "Manchester United" before I learned the word "football". How does a lad from Macedonia reach this point? My grandad went to the famous "Battle of Belgrade" at 14 years of age. He describes the Busby Babes' last dance as "the dawn of beautiful football". Once he heard about the crash, he swore that he'll support United for the rest of his life - a promise he has overdelivered on.

My main role in the committee is extending the reach of MUYSC internationally - creating opportunities for young reds across the globe to engage with the club and connect based on the shared love for the club. Having gone through it myself, this is what makes supporting United a sacred experience - one that knows no borders.

Cai Williams, 23

Committee Member-

I’ve supported Manchester United for as long as I can remember. My dad was a United supporter, so I didn’t have a choice. Being part of the Manchester United Youth Supporters Club committee is a way for me to give back to a club and community that has given me so much. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming space for young supporters, encouraging involvement, and using our shared passion for United to support the wider community and make s positive impact beyond football.
